Hector Mine Earthquake Coseismic Displacement Comparison

This solution is standard USGS processing, using predicted orbits. The preseismic and postseismic data are days 288 and 290, respectively. For information about this solution, send email to Jeff Behr (behr@gps.caltech.edu).

This solution has all stations ambiguity-resolved. Days October 12-15 and 17-21 were used in the solution. Stations ALAM, DYER, ECHO, FERN, FRED, SPMX, SNI1, PVEP, and VNDP were used to define a local ITRF97. The CHI^2/DOF for the final combination was 0.73, indicating that the formal error estimates are pessimistic by about 15 percent. They have not been adjusted since the daily repeatability over this 10-day interval (9 days plus quake-day skipped) may underrepresent the scatter over longer time periods. This data is based on data for 7 days before the earthquake and 7 days after. IGS final orbits were used. Bias-fixed. Zenith delays and horizontal gradients were estimated at each station. Phase data were weighted with a site-specific elevation-angle dependant model; the model was computed from the one-way postfit phase residuals.
