This is the procedure for programming the Ashtech Z-12 GPS receivers for use with Paroscientific,Inc's MET3 Meterological measurement system. The MET3 is programmed to record its measurements every 10 minutes. |

Programming Ashtech Z-12 receiver for MET3:
| Step 1) | Go to SCREEN 4. |
| Step 2) | Select PORT B. |
| Step 3) | Set baud rate to 9600. |
| Step 4) | Turn MET to ON. |
| Step 5) | Press 1 for OPTIONS. |
| Step 6) | Set MET SAMPLE to 600 (seconds). If you want to confirm MET3 is operating correctly without waiting 10 minutes for first observation, temporarily set to 005 seconds, check screen 9 for meteorological values. |
| Step 7) | Go back to main menu(SCREEN 4). |
| Step 8) | Go to SCREEN 8. |
| Step 9) | Press e(nter), 555, e(nter), to save parameters. |
