This is the procedure for programming the Ashtech Z-12 GPS receivers for use with Paroscientific,Inc's MET3 Meterological measurement system. The MET3 is programmed to record its measurements every 10 minutes.


Programming Ashtech Z-12 receiver for MET3:

Step 1) Go to SCREEN 4.
Step 2) Select PORT B.
Step 3) Set baud rate to 9600.
Step 4) Turn MET to ON.
Step 5) Press 1 for OPTIONS.
Step 6) Set MET SAMPLE to 600 (seconds). If you want to confirm MET3 is operating correctly without waiting 10 minutes for first observation, temporarily set to 005 seconds, check screen 9 for meteorological values.
Step 7) Go back to main menu(SCREEN 4).
Step 8) Go to SCREEN 8.
Step 9) Press e(nter), 555, e(nter), to save parameters.
